Description

This project will make possible to monitor my house power consumption. It's heavily based on OpenEnergyMonitor projects. All theory behind AC(alternate current) can be found on their website. I just made a PCB and designed an enclosure.

BOM(Bill of material)

I bought all of them on Futurlec except for the current sensors that I bought on ITead Studio. I saw this sensors available on Seed Studio too.

  • 2 x SCT-013-000 Non-invasive AC current sensor (100A max)
  • 110v/220v -> 6v 200mA Transformer
  • DB102G - Diode bridge
  • 3mm Green LED
  • 1k resistor
  • LM1117T-3 - 3.3v Voltage Regulator
  • 2200uF 16V electrolytic capacitor
  • 0.1uF 16V electrolytic capacitor
  • 3 x 10uF 16v electrolytic capacitor
  • 2 x 22pF ceramic capacitor
  • 16Mhz crystal
  • ATMega328p IC
  • 10k resistor
  • 6 x 10k 1% metal film resistor
  • 100k 1% metal film resistor
  • 56Ohm 1% metal film resistor (Burden resistor)
  • 28 pins IC socket
  • 2 x 3.5mm Stereo PCB Switched Socket (Futurlec PN# P035SCK03)
  • 1 x 8 Pin .100" Right Angle Headers (Futurlec PN# HEADRAS8) - You'll have to cut 6 of them to solder on PCB
  • 2 x 2mm 10pin XBee Socket
  • XBee 2mW Wire Antenna - Series 2 (ZB) - You'll need an extra Series 2(ZB) XBee plugged on your PC. XBee functioning will not be covered on this project page.
  • Custom PCB(If you want to buy, I have some of them, contact me and I'll sell you)
